Communicating the Redesign

Questions

  1. What other creative storage solutions have I missed?
  2. What other ways could I store the 3D printer?

Names

  1. The (Design) Nest - because we are the hawks, also nests are impressively engineered
  2. The Birdhouse - keeping the bird theme
  3. Tinker-Aerie - the kids won't know what an aerie is but it actually rolls of the tongue

  1. Nicole B-R: I really like all your storage solutions, Maybe getting some storage that has multiple uses could save space and be useful. Like some tables that have drawers for makers materials, or ottomans that have storage and are good seats? Also utilizing the ceiling space somewhere, I have seen brackets that hold storage bins on the ceiling. This could free up some floor space.
Your ideas for a more sturdy cart for the 3D printer is a great one. Having the resource be mobile is very handy.

  2. Hi Sara, I like the look of your existing library. It looks so inviting and spacious. For the 3D printer, I think it would be beneficial to have it visible to the students, even if it's just on a shelf or desk somewhere. My students love to just come in and spend 30 seconds watching it print. It generates so much interest and questions just by being visible.
